Ensures compliance with and trains employees on all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Environmental Services Coordinator requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.     clients throughout the Commonwealth. As a Construction Services Technician, you will be traveling to various construction sites to performbasic soil and concrete tests under the direction of project managers and other engineering
    professionals to verify that the contractor's work is performed in accordance with project specifications.
    Job Responsibilities • Conduct testing of soil, asphalt, masonry and concrete

    • Perform inspections on soils, reinforced concrete and reinforced masonry.
    • Prepare detailed reports (written and with a computer) and accurate test results based on field

    observations. This documentation will be submitted on a daily basis

    • Ability to communicate with clients, contractors, and project managers regarding jobsite issues

    or concerns

    • Show up on time for scheduled work and communicate to managers when work is cancelled for

    reassignment.

    • Safely use and maintain testing equipment
    • Obtain and maintain required certifications to perform required tests
    • Any other tasks assigned Qualifications • A High School Diploma (or equivalent)
    • Previous construction or field-testing experience (preferred)
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Must be able to work independently and with a team
    • Ability to read/interpret plans, specifications, and procedure manuals• Ability to draft routine reports within a set deadline• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
    • Must maintain a safe driving record along with a valid driver’s license to fulfill travel requirements of this position
    • Must have reliable transportation
    • Sense of ownership/pride in your performance & impact on company’s success
    • Travel to jobsites throughout Fredericksburg and surrounding counties will be required
    • This is a full-time position. Work hours are Monday-Friday typically between 7:00am-5:00pm.
