Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fitness Equipment Technician to join our team. This job involves travel to homes and commercial facilities in the Charleston area to troubleshoot and repair fitness equipment including: treadmills, ellipticals, bikes and strength machines. This person would also be performing preventative maintenance that requires cleaning, lubricating, tightening, inspecting machines for wear and tear, and recommending purchasing new equipment when machines have reached their end of life.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair fitness equipment, including treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, and weight machines
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on fitness equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with fitness equipment, including electrical and mechanical problems
- Collaborate with customers to understand their equipment issues and provide effective solutions
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance tasks, and equipment inventory
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns in a professional manner
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in repairing fitness equipment
-Knowledge of basic tools as well as how to use a multi-meter is important.
- Candidates must have their own tools and a valid driver's license.
- Fitness equipment repair experience is not required, but appliance repair and HVAC skills transfer very well
- Technical sales experience is beneficial for recommending equipment upgrades or replacements
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics
-Must be hard working, motivated, and reliable

Pay to be determined based on experience. If you can also help with delivering and installing fitness equipment, you will bring more value. To do this, you must be strong and able to lift heavy equipment.
Salary $20 to $25 per hour. This can be either a part time or full-time position.
