Equipment Director directs the management of company equipment including procurement activities, preventative maintenance, repair/replacement and safety assurance. Manages the records, licenses, inspections, warrantees, and service agreements for the organization's equipment and tools. Being an Equipment Director minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking. Document and tracks equipment performance throughout the product lifetime. Additionally, Equipment Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Equipment Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be an Equipment Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Industrial Equipment Field Service Technician

  • Blankenship Equipment Repair is a well established 30-year-old Auburn based company and we are looking to add an Experienced Industrial Equipment Expert to provide service to our customers in the field. 

    We will consider candidates who need to relocate for this position. 

    This position will primarily handle massive equipment (two ram, single ram, horizontal balers, transpak compactors and conveyors) for municipalities, transfer stations and recyclers.  Other equipment to be serviced would include apartment style compactors, vertical balers, pallet jacks and dock levelers as needed.

    Periodically overtime work and out of town work will be required on evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet our customers needs and significant hours of overtime can be anticipated in connection with major projects.

    Some on the job training will be provided however the ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of:

    •   General Mechanical Systems
    • Ability to read hydraulic diagrams and understand hydraulic circuits, as well as the function and repair of hydraulic cylinders, valves, and pumps.
    • Ability to read electrical diagrams and understand electric circuits and use of multi-meter troubleshooting.
    • Ability to safely perform light rigging duties for moving large parts, hydraulic cylinders, motors, steel weldments, etc. with forklift or crane assistance.
    • Ability to work in a team setting for larger service projects.
    • Basic knowledge of process logic controllers
    • Welding skills, especially field stick welding repairs, pipe welding and metal fabrication

    Qualifications:

    • 2 years'  hydraulic equipment repair/troubleshooting experience - REQUIRED
    • Well versed in electrical with heavy mechanical background in electrical controls
    • Experience working with industrial hydraulics
    • Welding experience 
    • Valid WA driver's license with clean driving record
    • Ability to talk to customers professionally regarding repair options.
    • Must be able to maintain accurate records 
    • Basic computer proficiency - preferred
    • Ability to adhere to all safety measures
    • Must be able to travel overnight when needed 

    Pay:  $30 - $38 p/hr DOE

    Benefits: 

    • 40-Hours Vacation after 6-months.  80-Hours after one full year with incremental annual increases up to 4-weeks.

    • Dedicated service truck.  Technician to commute from home directly to service calls on most days.
