Develops electrical control devices to convey materials and products throughout the manufacturing process. Being a Equipment Engineer integrates devices and instruments into the systems that measure and control environmental or material variations occurring during the manufacturing process. Ensures equipment and processes maintain throughput, yield, safety, and reliability objectives. Additionally, Equipment Engineer maintains an up-to-date knowledge of equipment vendors' changes, upgrades, and innovations. Prepares preventive maintenance plans and procedures for all equipment and provides technical support during maintenance or turnaround processes. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a manager. The Equipment Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. CKC Automation, LLC is an engineering company focused on designing and building custom manufacturing equipment for companies throughout the Bay Area and beyond.
We are currently looking for an experienced equipment design engineer to work in our Oakland facility. The engineer will be an integral member of the team designing and building custom equipment and automation for a variety of industries and applications.
The Senior Equipment Design Engineer will be responsible for designing custom equipment and automation. This will include solid modeling in SolidWorks, generation of component drawings, assembly drawings, and bill of materials.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious
places, infrequently works in outside weather conditions, and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or

moderate in the assembly area. There is close contact with computers.
Benefits:
