Matrix Technologies is looking for energetic and customer focused engineers who would like to be part of a team environment. This position is responsible for ensuring equipment is properly designed, selected and installed based on a life-cycle philosophy of an asset and will work on projects under the direction of refinery clients. Individuals will contribute both as a single project resources as well as part of multi-discipline engineering teams. Candidates will possess previous experience with piping system design and analysis.
Specifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering preferred; or other relevant Engineering discipline.
5 years experience with large static equipment (Vessels, Heat Exchangers).
5 years Maintenance/Reliability Engineering experience.
Experience with development and implementation of Maintenance Equipment Strategies.
Experience with Predictive and Preventative Maintenance Programs.
Basic AutoCAD or any other tool to develop drafting.
Experience with Root Cause Analysis.
Knowledgeable in computer software such as MS Excel, MS Word.
Experience in internal consulting and presentations, including strong interpersonal communication skills.
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to formulate and communicate sound recommendations.
Excellent decision-making skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated, Innovative and Flexible.
Refinery experience is required. Varied industrial background is a plus.
Ability to travel approximately 25-30%, both locally and overnight
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
Must possess a valid driver's license
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform design and engineering functions in accordance with accepted practices and company standards.
Prepare project scopes of work, bill of material, design concepts, and cost estimates. Assist in gathering field data and preparing project specifications.
Collaborates with Operations personnel in troubleshooting problems from a mechanical perspective and provides guidance and training as appropriate to promote proper operation and maintenance of pressure vessels, storage tanks and piping systems.
Maintains and improves plant reliability through identifying/correcting operational reliability opportunities.
Collaborates with Maintenance and Reliability groups to identify and correct bad actors, drive root cause failure analysis, meet mechanical integrity requirements and implement preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
Coordinate design with other members of the project team.
Prepare project correspondence as required.
Support onsite software startup and commissioning activities
Troubleshoot electrical devices and control circuits.
Maintain positive client relationships on projects assigned.
