Description
As an Engineering Intern, you will be responsible for assisting the American Reels engineering team with creating and maintaining drawings and models, documenting processes, and building bills of materials for our products. You will work closely with the engineers and other team members to ensure that our products are designed, built, and documented to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Create and update drawings and models using CAD software based on inputs from the engineering team and legacy 2D prints
· Assist with documentation of processes, procedures, and specifications for engineering projects
· Build bills of materials (BOMs) for new products or modifications to existing products
· Assist with prototyping and testing of new products
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and product management, to ensure alignment of product design and documentation with company goals
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all engineering-related activities and communicate progress to team members and management
· Participate in engineering team meetings and contribute ideas and feedback to improve processes and procedures
Requirements
· Currently pursuing a degree in engineering or a related field
· Proficient in 3D CAD software (OnShape is a plus)
· Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
· Prior internship or work experience in engineering is a plus
· Available 40 hours per week to work on-site in Dayton, NV during summer months.
