    We are a Manufacturer of Military Ground Support Equipment. We provide support for General Aviation and Government agencies around the globe, Prime Contractors, MRO (maintenance and repair operations), Contract Manufacturers, Distributors and Brokers.

    Job Summary

    • As an Engineering Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering department by assisting with various tasks related to design, test, and troubleshooting.
    • Assist engineers in the design and development of new products. This includes static converters and diesel-powered ground support equipment.
    • Use hand and power tools to assemble and maintain equipment.
    • Conducts tests to collect data and analyze results.
    • Troubleshoot and repair defective equipment which may include replacement of malfunctioning components.
    • Create and update technical documentation, such as schematics and work instructions.
    • Support the implementation of new processes or process improvements.
    • Assist in the design, construction, and test of prototype, qualification, and pre-production equipment.
    • Working knowledge of the usage of diagnostic equipment, including but not limited to, test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized test apparatus for manufacturing, test and development.
    • Soldering, wire repair, and wiring harness construction (crimping contacts, assembling connectors, and following manufacturer's guidelines on wire crimping and connector assembly techniques).
    • Reading and understanding drawings, work instructions, diagram & schematics, and operation maintenance manuals.

    What you will need

    • Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or similar field or two to four years of work related experience.
    • Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software for creating technical drawings is a plus.
    • Experience with logic controllers and electrical systems is a plus.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as diagrams and schematics.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and ability to work with minimum guidance and in a team environment.
    • Ability and knowledge of how to test AC and DC circuitry.
    • PC skills with general knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Office and Excel at a minimum).
    • J-Std Solder certification is a plus.
    • Travel starting in June approximately 20-25%.
