Equipment Engineering Director directs equipment engineering activities within an organization. Plans and develops policies and procedures for designing, developing and implementing equipment. Being an Equipment Engineering Director ensures all equipment engineering projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies and objectives. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Equipment Engineering Director typically reports to top engineering management. The Equipment Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be an Equipment Engineering Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Herback General Engineering is looking for a Survey Grade setter to join our team!
Job Requirements:
Work in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
Assist construction site workers in grading and underground operations.
Interpret survey stakes and plans to provide control ahead of grading and underground operations.
Proficient skills with lasers, line and grade, total station GPS.
Inform the Foreman of discrepancies between the plans and site conditions.
Collaborate with Foreman to maintain as-built drawings.
Work well with all parties involved including, coworkers, inspectors and management.
Experience with Trimble GPS systems a plus!Prefer 5 yrs experience but will look at less for the right person.
