Equipment Engineering Director directs equipment engineering activities within an organization. Plans and develops policies and procedures for designing, developing and implementing equipment. Being an Equipment Engineering Director ensures all equipment engineering projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies and objectives. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Equipment Engineering Director typically reports to top engineering management. The Equipment Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be an Equipment Engineering Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Bachelors degree in Engineering-Mechanical Designation preferred.
Competency in employing 2D and 3D Computer Aided Drafting software.
Professional Engineer (PE) certification required.
Willingness to travel to plants
Job Responsibilities:
Directing engineering processes and teams for optimum efficiency and productivity.
Implementing and overseeing project management initiatives.
Utilizing drafting software to create 2D and 3D structural designs.
Conducting data acquisition and PLC programming tasks as necessary.
Travelling to various plant locations for oversight and project implementation.
Pay Details: $130,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
