Equipment Engineering Manager manages equipment engineering activities within an organization. Implements and maintains policies and procedures for designing, developing and implementing equipment. Being an Equipment Engineering Manager ensures all equipment engineering projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies and objectives. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Equipment Engineering Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Equipment Engineering Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Job Description: RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform incoming inspection and periodic inspection on both new and current medical equipment or devices and
    • Perform quality assurance check to assure that equipment conforms to manufacturer literature for components, parts, and performance.
    • Install, Calibrate and Test medical equipment or devices in accordance with manufacturer’s literature, certification to perform installation actions, and/or biomedical engineering department authorization to perform installation.
    • Perform preventive maintenance checks
    • Perform troubleshooting of equipment or device malfunction to determine source or cause of defect or malfunction.
    • Perform scheduled and/or unscheduled maintenance.
    • QUALIFICATIONS

    Required Skills and Experience

    • A Three-year associate degree or higher in an applied science or equivalent military training.
    • Demonstrated competency to perform operational verification procedures, planned maintenance, and repair service on various types of medical equipment.
    • Understanding of regulatory agencies’ requirements, industry regulatory requirements and International Standard Organization standards.
    • Familiarity with the setup and application of test equipment.
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical literature, schematics, and drawings.

    Job Types: Full-time, Contract

    Salary: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
