Equipment Manager manages daily operations for the equipment procurement, inventory management and maintenance function. Tracks the records, licenses, inspections, warrantees, and service agreements for the organization's equipment and tools. Being an Equipment Manager minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking. Tracks equipment quality throughout the product lifetime and makes recommendations for alternatives if needed. Additionally, Equipment Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Equipment Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Salary: $85,000-$95,000 annually, based on experience
Summary:
Provide leadership of equipment and shop, overseeing employees who service and repair vehicles and equipment as well as grounds and custodial staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervise up to 10 employees across two shops. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, promoting, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Manager carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws.
