Job purpose
As the Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service department. Your main focus will be ensuring the delivery of top-notch service to our customers while fostering a positive and cohesive team environment. Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills are essential for success in this role.
Duties and responsibilities

Manage and supervise the service department staff, including technicians, mechanics, and support personnel.

Ensure that all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies and regulations.

Develop and maintain strong relationships and open lines of communication with customers to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty.

Implement strategies to maximize efficiency and profitability within the service department.

Create and monitor annual service department goals and budget.

Effectively manage the service schedule, ensuring timely completion of work within budget constraints.

Address and resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally.

Maintain proper maintenance and storage of tools, equipment, and materials.

Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and performance of the service department staff.

Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional service.

Submit all service, campaign, and warranty claims on time to maximize credit.

Complete necessary training to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications

Previous experience in a service management role, preferably within the heavy equipment industry or a related field.

Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.

Ability to effectively manage a team and foster a positive work environment.

Exceptional problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.

Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports.

Capability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Clean driving record.
Working conditions
