    Equipment Sales Manager

    We have an exciting opportunity for an Equipment Sales Manager located at our Mountville branch. The Equipment Sales Manager is responsible for the market shares and sales performance of Crown and Toyota material handling equipment, and other key production lines, financial performance, personnel development and the day-to-day activities of the territory sales function.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Select, train, develop and counsel direct reports.
    • Travel on sales calls with sales people to discuss approaches and performance.
    • Conduct sales trainings on products and techniques with individuals and groups.
    • Plan, conduct and participate in sales meetings.
    • Establish and review sales territories to ensure proper coverage, market share and market awareness.
    • Plan account strategy with territory sales people individually or with other manager(s).
    • Coodinating sales activities with Vice President of Sales, Vice President of National Accounts, Aftermarket Sales Manager and Warehouse Solutions Sales Manager.
    • Review, approve and coordinate sales, pricing, leasing, terms and financing.
    • Maintain direct or indirect contact with current and prospective customers.
    • Participate in customer service for key accounts, complex transactions, unhappy customers or other situations.
    • Responsible for all sales reports required by senior management.
    • May participate in production prioritization and delivery logistics of company products.
    • Review accounts receivable for past due and delinquent accounts.
    • May approve expenses of direct reports.
    • Participate in OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) dialogue to ensure sales success and achievement of sales awards.
    • May develop and/or oversee marketing and promotional programs such as advertisements and sales contests.
    • Track financial performance, identify variances and take appropriate actions.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • 5-7 Years of prior experience in sales are preferred for this position. Industry experience is desirable.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
    • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
    • Highly organized and detail oriented.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 4 Year College Degree
    • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
    • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
    • Good organizational, time management and customer service skills
    • Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines
    • Possess high level of professionalism and the ability to follow up
    • Positive and friendly attitude toward customers and fellow team members
    • Ability to follow directions both written and verbal
    • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations

    Working Conditions

    • Physical requirements necessary include sitting, standing and walking throughout an extended 8-10 hour work day.
    • Position requires use of fingers, hands and arms on a consistent basis for keyboarding and phone work.
    • Standard office environment as well as the ability to safely visit customer sites which may include exposure to hot and cold temperatures, dust, solvents, fuels, battery acid, and noise pollution.
