Equipment Manager manages daily operations for the equipment procurement, inventory management and maintenance function. Tracks the records, licenses, inspections, warrantees, and service agreements for the organization's equipment and tools. Being an Equipment Manager minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking. Tracks equipment quality throughout the product lifetime and makes recommendations for alternatives if needed. Additionally, Equipment Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Equipment Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Purpose
Assist the Small to Mid Ag Product Manager in maintaining accurate and on-time reports and records relative to the service department's operation within the dealership.
Responsibilities :
Automating reporting processes
Report equipment and other asset performance measures to management
Assist with problem identification and solution processes
Fields inquiries to the Service Department
Opens work orders and maintains control until they are closed and invoiced
Maintains the service library with current information
Maintains Service Department filing and records
Maintains accessories and supplies and prepares replacement orders
May prepare Service Technician efficiency reports
May process warranty and / or product improvement claims including calculating and submitting charges, and follow-up
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements :
High School Diploma or equivalent experience
Basic knowledge of accounting practices
Strong analytical skills
Ability to use Microsoft Office and internet functions
Knowledge of office procedures
General understanding of mechanical / technical terms is preferred, but not required
Bilingual preferred, but not required
