Equipment Manager manages daily operations for the equipment procurement, inventory management and maintenance function. Tracks the records, licenses, inspections, warrantees, and service agreements for the organization's equipment and tools. Being an Equipment Manager minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking. Tracks equipment quality throughout the product lifetime and makes recommendations for alternatives if needed. Additionally, Equipment Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Equipment Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Equipment Specialist

  • The full cycle procurement process and daily warehouse functions. This position is also responsible for maintaining accurate and cost-efficient inventory. Typical scope of procurement of rough and finish materials includes estimating, creating quotes, purchasing, and verifying that all items ordered are correct.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assist in Equipment Purchasing, researching, and implementing processes appropriate acquisition and paperwork/permit filing.
    • Procure and support customers with all types of construction/industrial equipment
    • ProCraft’s front line of contact with the client, whose purpose is to understand customer equipment needs, negotiate and place orders.
    • Help to determine what equipment is needed by project, set up rentals on owned equipment or vendor owned equipment.
    • Place urgency on equipment repairs or replacement on project sites. Urgently mitigate and resolve equipment issues on rented or previously sold equipment, including but not limited to repairs, warranty claims, vendor partner equipment issues.
    • Requires strong administrative skills and an ability to always deliver customer satisfaction through a professional and solutions-oriented attitude.

    Knowledge, Education, and experience

    • High School diploma or GED required
    • Valid Driver’s license required
    • Familiarity with various types of construction/industrial tools & equipment

    Skills and Specifications

    • At least 3 years previous equipment rental industry experience -or- at least 6 years of hands-on commercial construction experience
    • Strong customer service and telephone skills
    • Solid computer and administrative skills
    • OSHA 30 certified (or ability and willingness to become certified)
    • Forklift and other heavy equipment certification (or ability and willingness to become certified)

    Physical Demands and Work Environment

    The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; significant climbing and balancing; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 30% sitting, 30% walking, and 40% standing. The job is performed under some temperature extremes and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness. The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 25 pounds.

    Range of base pay is $50,000-$80,000.
