Equipment Manager manages daily operations for the equipment procurement, inventory management and maintenance function. Tracks the records, licenses, inspections, warrantees, and service agreements for the organization's equipment and tools. Being an Equipment Manager minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking. Tracks equipment quality throughout the product lifetime and makes recommendations for alternatives if needed. Additionally, Equipment Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Equipment Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.     What you'll do

    • Develop, analyze and prepare budgets, financials, and marketing plans 
    • Manage inventory and assets
    • Coach and mentor sales team on territory management, product knowledge, and gross margins
    • Lead and manage all business and/or department activities related to ensuring positive customer experience
    • Promote a safety-conscious, clean healthy work environment and proper image
    • Identify issues, find the root cause, and implement effective solutions
    • Act as an ambassador for the company with customers, vendors, and the community
    • Recruit, hire, evaluate, develop, and retain key talent
    • Understand business processes and ensure they are followed
    • Foster a culture of open communication, customer focus, continuous improvement, and mutual respect

     

    Qualifications


    What it Takes

    • A minimum of five years of management experience
    • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent life education.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, and effectively and professionally deal with employees and external contacts to the company
    • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently
    • Strong computer skills, including familiarity with spreadsheets and databases
    • Skills in managing risk, managing change, negotiation, and conflict resolution
    • Ability and willingness to travel 
    • A positive approach to business solutions
    • Adhere to all company policies

    Experience Required

    • 5 plus years in management 
    • 1-3 years in management of parts and/or service department
