Equipment Manager manages daily operations for the equipment procurement, inventory management and maintenance function. Tracks the records, licenses, inspections, warrantees, and service agreements for the organization's equipment and tools. Being an Equipment Manager minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking. Tracks equipment quality throughout the product lifetime and makes recommendations for alternatives if needed. Additionally, Equipment Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Equipment Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. POSITION SUMMARY
Oversees and manages day-to-day service & parts operations at the local level (service support team, parts Supervisor and technicians will report directly to this individual). Proven ability to assemble and lead a high-performing, customer-focused team. Ensures that service, rental, and parts operations work as a team to provide a hassle-free experience for our customers. Effectively drives change within the organization to ensure one consistent way of doing business with other Equipment Depot locations. Achieves business objectives by improving the skills and professionalism within our service & parts operations. Ensures that each location meets the budget forecasts. Improving the efficiency of his/her service & parts organization will be a key responsibility.
