Escrow Officer is responsible for providing escrow information to clients and loan officers. Supervises the preparation and delivery of all necessary escrow documents. Being an Escrow Officer provides mortgage holders with required tax documentation for filing tax returns. Ensures the process and documents are in compliance with all applicable regulations and laws. Additionally, Escrow Officer may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Escrow Officer supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Escrow Officer typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Position Summary
Outgoing, detail-oriented candidate to work with Attorneys, Realtors and Lenders to close real estate transactions for the nation's largest insurance provider in our Champaign, IL operation. Manage and facilitate the closing process for residential real estate transactions. Tasks include preparation and assembly of closing documents and settlement statements. Balance receipts and disbursements. Carefully review all closing instructions and agreements. Should be able to prioritize and be able to make independent decisions. Work closely with title officers, the underwriting team, and directly with customers and consumers to resolve any issues and to get transactions closed and funded. Superior verbal and written communication skills required with the experience necessary to effectively handle and address any situation that surfaces during the process.

Duties
Open escrows and collect the required instructions, documents and funds necessary for closing. Manage work flow and provide customer support to buyers, sellers, borrowers, real estate agents, mortgage brokers and lenders. Must be able to effectively communicate with customers and build relationships. Adhere to company policy and procedures. Gather and confirm the accuracy of closing documents. Collect all documents necessary to clear title.
Requirements
Must be familiar with title and escrow duties. Experience with practices, procedures and concepts within the title insurance industry. Ability to quickly assess situations and make decisions. Ability to organize, analyze and distribute information. Must be able to spot and address irregularities or issues. Detail- oriented, task driven, team player and professional. Able to handle confidential information and documents. Must have excellent math and/or accounting skills. Provide timely customer support. Ensure compliance with instructions.
