Additionally, Escrow Officer may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Escrow Officer supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Escrow Officer to join our team. As an Escrow Officer, you will be responsible for facilitating real estate transactions by coordinating with buyers, sellers, lenders, and other parties involved in the process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in escrow and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
Duties:
- Manage the entire escrow process from opening to closing
- Review contracts and ensure all necessary documents are obtained
- Conduct credit analysis and verify financial information
- Calculate and prepare closing statements
- Coordinate with lenders, title companies, and other parties to ensure a smooth transaction
- Prepare escrow instructions and facilitate the signing of documents
- Handle funds in accordance with escrow instructions and applicable regulations
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the escrow process
- Maintain accurate records and files related to each transaction
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Escrow Officer or similar role Escrow Assistant or Jr. Escrow Officer
- Strong knowledge of escrow procedures, regulations, and best practices
- Familiarity with contract review and interpretation
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
