Estate Planning Legal Assistant – Full-time

Shaheen & Gordon, P.A. is seeking an energetic and detail oriented full-time Legal Assistant to join our growing Estate Planning practice group in the Manchester, NH office. The ideal candidate is a professional with a desire to further their career in the legal field and must demonstrate the ability to work as a member of a team, in addition to working independently. The responsibilities assigned to this role include:

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Opening and closing of files
• Receiving, scanning, and distributing incoming and outgoing mail correspondence
• Schedule appointments, meetings, and calendar court dates/deadlines
• Strong communication skills via phone and email with potential new clients and existing clients
• Finalize original Estate Planning binders for clients
• Assist with Court filings
• Handle filing for both paper and electronic files

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in trusts and estates, or related fields is preferred
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Adobe, scanning and maintaining electronic files is a plus
• Attention to detail and proofreading skills
• Must have excellent secretarial skills with the ability to multi-task under pressure and prioritize
