    A day in the life as Benefit Consultant

    As a full-time Benefit Consultant, you will be at the forefront of establishing and nurturing positive experiences between Innovative and our clients. Your role will be pivotal in selling and managing a range of benefit solutions tailored to meet the diverse needs of our clients.

    Responsibilities include:

    Essential Duties:

    • Sources and closes new sales opportunities through lead follow-up, outbound cold calls, networking, and emails to achieve assigned quota.
    • Understands customer needs and presents benefits performance assessment to prospects.
    • Creates and develops the benefits performance assessment.
    • Research accounts, identifies key players, and generates interest.
    • Maintains and expands database of prospects, contacts, and mailing lists.
    • Attending relevant events in-house and with outside training promotes the potential to generate new business.
    • Maintain personal networks and participate in professional organizational events.
    • Revisit prospects that were not closed on the first appointment through relationship building.
    • Maintain existing client relationships by working with AEs for client renewal, strategy, and plan performance meetings with clients.
    • Expanding and enhancing selling techniques and practices to increase efficiency and results.
    • Calls existing and potential clients to secure attendance at seminars and workshops.
    • Makes follow-up calls to specific marketing campaigns.



    Core Competencies:

    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
    • Strong listening and presentation skills.
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
    • Advanced skill and understanding of assessing and analyzing numerical data.
    • Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM.
    • Coordinate and organize sales appointments and meetings.
    • Assist with event planning and implementation.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook.
    • Flexible working hours that at times require some evening and weekend work.

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in outside sales.
    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field is preferred.
    • Life and Health license to be obtained within the first 6 months of employment.
    • Proficiency in collaboration and delegation of duties.
