Estate Planning Director directs all aspects of the estate planning function including sales, staffing, and supervision. Participates in training and estate planning workshops. Being an Estate Planning Director ensures that the agency stays abreast of regulatory guidelines and new trends in the field. Researches and advises on tax, technical, and legal questions. Additionally, Estate Planning Director introduces new life products to the field and contributes to design of related software and tools. May be a speaker at insurance conferences or meetings. Requires a bachelor's degree of business, marketing, or mathematics. Typically reports to top management. May require Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). The Estate Planning Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. The Central Alabama Regional Planning and Development Commission (CARPDC-Wx) is seeking to employ an Energy Auditor position in the Weatherization department to learn how to perform Weatherization Energy Audit Assessments and Final inspections for our Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP). This will be a full time salaried position that will require specific training within the Building Performance Industry's Home Energy Professional job task certifications fields. Salary will be based on level of experience.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications for this position would include a high school diploma, competent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word, and a strong background in home building/remodel/repair experience. Applicant must be willing to learn new skills to include building inspections and the use of technical equipment associated with the Weatherization Program.
