Estate Planning Director directs all aspects of the estate planning function including sales, staffing, and supervision. Participates in training and estate planning workshops. Being an Estate Planning Director ensures that the agency stays abreast of regulatory guidelines and new trends in the field. Researches and advises on tax, technical, and legal questions. Additionally, Estate Planning Director introduces new life products to the field and contributes to design of related software and tools. May be a speaker at insurance conferences or meetings. Requires a bachelor's degree of business, marketing, or mathematics. Typically reports to top management. May require Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). The Estate Planning Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.     Crow Estate Planning & Probate, PLC is a reputable and fast-growing estate planning law firm with offices in Nashville, TN, Clarksville, TN, and Hopkinsville, KY. Our mission is to provide our clients with exceptional legal services in the areas of estate planning, probate, conservatorships, and business planning. We currently have 16 employees, including 4 attorneys and a CPA on staff.

    Overview of Position

    We are seeking to hire a full time paralegal to work in the Nashville branch of the firm. The candidate must be able to effectively manage a high volume workload, be independent, organized, and a self-starter, all while being on a larger team.

    At least 5 years of experience as a paralegal is required. If you do not have experience with estate planning and probate in your prior jobs, do not let that dissuade you from applying, but we do heavily prefer those with experience in this area. If you lack this experience, we will take time to train you fully and make sure that you know the material.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Estate Planning: Prepare drafts of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, living wills, and other traditional estate planning documents.
    • Probate: Manage and administer probate cases, ensuring clients are well informed as to the process. Prepare probate pleadings, inventories, assist clients with bonding, and distribution of assets.
    • Conservatorships and Guardianships: Prepare petitions and other legal documents for conservatorship and guardianship cases, aiming to safeguard the interests of individuals unable to manage their own affairs.
    • Business Planning: Provide support in establishing new businesses, preparing routine contracts and agreements, and other business documents.
    • Real Estate Matters: Assist with real estate transactions, including the preparation of deeds, contracts, and other documents.
    • Client Interaction: Act as a primary contact for clients, offering empathetic and professional support. Responsibilities include answering phone calls, screening new client inquiries, scheduling consultations, and ensuring efficient communication and dedication to our internal processes.
    • Administrative Support: Perform light bookkeeping duties, maintain organized files and records, keep attorneys' calendars, and ensure accurate and timely processing and filing of legal documents. Maintain CRM and task management systems.

    Compensation

    Qualifications

    • Experience as a paralegal is required, preferably 5 years or more

    Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
