This position will direct the activities of the FP&A team members supporting the U.S. Diversified business. The role is expected to generate value added analytics and insights, be responsible for overseeing the preparation of executive level presentations of results and forecasts and support U.S. Diversified team in understanding their results and helping them deliver their financial commitments.
Major Areas of Responsibility
Oversee the preparation of the annual budget and forecasting reporting packages including the evaluation of key performance indicators and a comparison of results to budget and forecast along with comprehensive executive level explanations of variances.
Develop and deliver executive level presentations for review with Executive Leadership Team.
Assisting the preparation and monitoring of the Company’s long range strategic planning models.
Support Business Unit leaders in delivering their financial commitments by providing recommendations and input to decisions to drive financial performance.
Understand key drivers of performance with ability to identify business improvements and cost reduction opportunities on an ongoing basis.
Have a strong understanding of key business drivers and metrics as well as financial models to deliver value added analysis to drive business results.
Work closely with Sales/Marketing Management, Commercial Analytics and Business Development in assessing and modeling new business opportunities.
Lead FP&A team in driving reporting excellence and leveraging best practices in Management Reporting.
Maintain strong relations with Gross-to-Net Accounting team to ensure timely information flow.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance and/or Accounting.
Minimum of 8 years diverse Finance experience including FP&A and Accounting as well as 4 years of pharmaceutical or life science industry experience
Strong executive communication skills, ability to take complex financial information and create financial ‘stories’ that the business can understand and make decisions / act on
Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate executive needs for information into actionable reporting and analyses.
Highly motivated individual with a strong sense of urgency and rigorous attention to detail to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Strong experience with SAP and Hyperion Financial Management preferred.
Ability to multitask and prioritize work, and communicate complex issues to senior management verbally, in writing, and through presentations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to represent Finance on various project teams and initiatives.
