Estimating Director leads the estimating function and develops standards, procedures, tools, and methodologies to produce cost estimates for technical projects based on work scope, specifications, and proposal or contract requirements. Establishes processes to perform analysis of project requirements, plans, and specifications to identify labor, material, equipment, and service requirements. Being an Estimating Director incorporates benchmark data, trends, and historical pricing to generate detailed cost estimates that consist of itemized lists of expenses, labor hours, material quantities, and potential cost variations. Develops a workflow and system for scheduling and processing estimate requests and communicating with stakeholders. Additionally, Estimating Director depending on the complexity and type of project, may use different estimating methods, mathematical models, or specialized estimating software tools to generate estimates. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Estimating Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Job Description:
Operation Sight is seeking a passionate Director to lead the organization and oversee all aspects of its cataract and emergency retina surgery program. Ideal applicants will be highly organized, self-motivated, and passionate about serving the community and addressing health inequities. Responsibilities will encompass not only the strategic vision but also the day-to-day operational oversight of the surgery program, guaranteeing the delivery of unparalleled care to uninsured residents across South Carolina.
· Oversee the current program’s application process ensuring patients receive care in timely manner
· Track, manage, and evaluate program participant data
· Maintain and enhance relationships with volunteer physicians and community partners
· Recruit and manage all staff, interns, volunteers, and contractors
· Implement and execute annual fundraising plan to meet fundraising goals
· Prepare and present regular reports on progress towards fundraising goals to Board of Directors
· Manage grant writing and identification of new grant opportunities
· Generate donor communications, newsletters, and annual report
· Network and maintain regular correspondence with donors and grant funders
· Work with the Board of Directors to develop and manage annual budget
· Assist in Board Member recruitment and development
· Work with the Board of Directors to create and execute strategic plan
