Estimating Director leads the estimating function and develops standards, procedures, tools, and methodologies to produce cost estimates for technical projects based on work scope, specifications, and proposal or contract requirements. Establishes processes to perform analysis of project requirements, plans, and specifications to identify labor, material, equipment, and service requirements. Being an Estimating Director incorporates benchmark data, trends, and historical pricing to generate detailed cost estimates that consist of itemized lists of expenses, labor hours, material quantities, and potential cost variations. Develops a workflow and system for scheduling and processing estimate requests and communicating with stakeholders. Additionally, Estimating Director depending on the complexity and type of project, may use different estimating methods, mathematical models, or specialized estimating software tools to generate estimates. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Estimating Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Estimating Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     • Community Engagement:

    · Cultivate meaningful relationships with businesses and community organizations.

    • Keep our existing members engaged, informed, and excited about our thriving Jerome economy. Create a sense of community that extends beyond the boardroom.
    • Advocacy & Government Relations:

    · Monitor and advocate for local and state policies affecting our community.

    · Build relationships with government officials and stakeholders to advance the chamber's objectives.

    • Membership Services:

    · Manage and improve the chamber's membership program, focusing on retention and benefits.

    · Assist members with their business needs and connect them with relevant resources. Tailor membership solutions that align with their goals.

    • Programming & Events:

    · Plan and execute a select number of high-impact programs that provide value to members and promote local industry.

    · Calendar all events & schedule in Chambermaster.

    · Coordinate website updates with web design company.

    · Send out all events and member events in Constant Contact & Meltwater (social media platform).

    • Organize key community events or initiatives that foster community involvement and celebrate the heritage of Jerome.
    • Business After Hours - Coordinate with the Ambassador Committee.
    • Ribbon Cuttings - Coordinate with Ambassador Committee.
    • Chamber monthly luncheon – Coordinate check-in with the Ambassador Committee.
    • Grand Openings - Coordinate with the Ambassador Committee.
    • Summer Festival - Coordinate with the Committee Chair.
    • Annual Banquet - Coordinate with the Committee Chair.
    • Christmas in Jerome - Coordinate with the Committee Chair.
    • Financial Stability:

    · Effectively manage the chamber's budget and seek funding opportunities to support critical initiatives.

    · Work closely with the Chamber’s accountant agency.

    · Enter transactions in the Chambermaster member database.

    · Enter deposits in QuickBooks.

    • Board Meetings:

    · Schedule Monthly Board meetings.

    · Work with the President & Secretary on the agenda.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, community development, or a related field (preferred).
    • Experience in community engagement, event planning, or chamber management.
    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
    • Knowledge of local government and agricultural issues.
    • Ability to work independently and with a diverse group of stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in budget management and financial planning.
    • Knowledge of QuickBooks.
    • Knowledge of basic graphic design tools like Canva.

    Working Hours: This is a full-time position, with some flexibility required to accommodate chamber events and activities.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $45,000.00 per year
