Establishes processes to perform analysis of project requirements, plans, and specifications to identify labor, material, equipment, and service requirements. Being an Estimating Manager incorporates benchmark data, trends, and historical pricing to generate detailed cost estimates that consist of itemized lists of expenses, labor hours, material quantities, and potential cost variations. Implements a workflow and system for scheduling and processing estimate requests and communicating with stakeholders. Additionally, Estimating Manager depending on the complexity and type of project, may use different estimating methods, mathematical models, or specialized estimating software tools to generate estimates. Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Data Entry Clerk/Estimator . As a Data Entry Clerk/Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately inputting data obtained from a set of civil plans into our software. The program is called Stack-It and it is how we quote manholes for our jobs we do. This position is something we want to grow into a full time outside sales representative. You will eventually be communicating with clients and making sure they are taken care of. You will see the job from start to finish in this position. There is A LOT of room for growth in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and gather data from a set of civil plans
- Organize and sort data in a systematic manner
- Enter data into designated software (Stack-It)
- Verify the accuracy of entered data and make necessary corrections
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all data
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, and photocopying documents
- Transcribe information from one format to another accurately
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in using computer systems and software
- Fast and accurate typing skills
- Knowledge of data entry procedures and best practices
- Familiarity with databases and office equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
