Being an Estimating Manager incorporates benchmark data, trends, and historical pricing to generate detailed cost estimates that consist of itemized lists of expenses, labor hours, material quantities, and potential cost variations. Implements a workflow and system for scheduling and processing estimate requests and communicating with stakeholders. Estimating Coordinator
Purpose of Position: The Estimating Coordinator supports the Estimator to track and maintain the flow of information for a prospective project from start to finish. The Estimating Coordinator will be required to handle many tasks at one time efficiently and accurately.
Scope of Job: As the Estimating Coordinator, you are responsible for tracking and maintaining the flow of information of the estimate. This includes contract bid documents, request for quotes, addendum, subcontractor questions, assembling and delivering the bid on time. Also, this position will complete various office management tasks.
Responsibilities:
· Maintenance of paper and electronic estimate records based on standard operating procedures.
· Support Estimators preparing bids and proposals and pre-construction documentation.
Duties:
· Prepare and distribute Bid List
· Setup Estimates in B2W Estimate
· Prepare and distribute Solicitation for Bids.
· Assemble, distribute, and track Plans and Specs for bidding projects to Subs/Suppliers.
· Prepare all Bids and Proposals.
· Send Bid Bond Requests to insurance agency.
· Assist in obtaining subcontract and vendor proposals.
· Coordinate all bid deliveries.
· Record and maintain bid results for analysis.
· Track estimating “hit rate.”
· Complete pre-qualifications for current or potential customers as needed.
