Estimating Manager manages the estimating function and develops standards, procedures, tools, and methodologies to produce cost estimates for technical projects based on work scope, specifications, and proposal or contract requirements. Establishes processes to perform analysis of project requirements, plans, and specifications to identify labor, material, equipment, and service requirements. Being an Estimating Manager incorporates benchmark data, trends, and historical pricing to generate detailed cost estimates that consist of itemized lists of expenses, labor hours, material quantities, and potential cost variations. Implements a workflow and system for scheduling and processing estimate requests and communicating with stakeholders. Additionally, Estimating Manager depending on the complexity and type of project, may use different estimating methods, mathematical models, or specialized estimating software tools to generate estimates. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Estimating Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. SUMMARY
Create a positive environment by leading the processing team by example and performing all duties required to accept, sort, and
price donated items.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
1. Lead and equip team to be positive in every aspect of their job, to each other, donors, customers and volunteers.
2. To perform any of the required job duties within the processing team. This includes all requirements related to accepting
donations, presorting and pricing merchandise.
3. Adhere and implement, daily, all donor service standards, policies and procedures.
4. Responsible for hiring and termination of all processing staff.
5. Work closely with the Team Services Hiring Manager to place the best people on the team.
6. Train and retain employees.
7. Properly execute necessary paperwork related to employees including document coaching opportunities, hiring
paperwork, termination paperwork, worker’s compensation paperwork, etc.
8. Ensure that daily reports are properly filled out in a timely manner.
9. Must be able to appropriately set daily goals and plan their day according to projections/targets.
10. Review Cyfe Dashboard daily to understand and communicate targets to team.
11. Schedule staff appropriately to ensure team is well equipped for high volume days.
12. Maintain clean and well-organized reception, presort and processing areas.
13. Train processing staff and volunteers to maintain a clean and well-organized reception, presort, and processing areas.
14. Provide a positive and encouraging atmosphere for processing staff to promote further professional development and
growth within LifePath Thrift Stores.
15. Facilitate and promote an encouraging, positive and unified relationship between Processing and Retail Departments.
16. Work with and effectively communicate with the Retail Manager on a daily basis to ensure all the operational needs of the
store are being met.
17. Stay up to date and well-informed with the ever-changing needs and procedures of the Wholesale Department.
18. Effectively communicate and gathers information from Wholesale Director to clarify any questions pertaining to changing
policies.
19. Communicate efficiently and clearly with Director on daily needs and progress of the Processing team.
20. Recognize the value and appropriate pricing needs of items prior to those items reaching the sales floor.
21. Train and holds staff accountable for recognizing the value and appropriate pricing needs of items prior to those items
reaching the sales floor.
22. Able to provide overwhelming biblical hospitality to donors.
23. Able to tell the LifePath Thrift Stores story and continually connects the dots for staff and customers.
24. In the event that an Associate Manager is on the team, the Processing Manager is responsible for developing and growing
Associate into a viable Processing Manager candidate.
