Works closely with junior estimator(s) and the lead estimator to create accurate quotes in a timely manner.

Advises customers with the most appropriate products according to the specifications for their products.

• Capture all additional relevant details about the customer and/or job location to facilitate success.

Appraise or determine the value of an object.

o Responsible for reviewing assigned projects or project invitations

o Gather all information needed to complete a proposal, based on thoroughly reviewed blueprints, specifications, and related documents.

o Ability to create a count and get measurements through takeoff.

o Use of several computer programs: Prefweb, ConstructConnect, PlanHub, Adobe, etc.

Maintains contact and relationships with private individuals and other organizations.

o Clearly communicates with customers in a timely and professional manner (via phone and /or email) to understand project requirements, goals.

o Communicates with the factory and the Laurel team.

o Follows-up with clients regarding proposed quotes to get pertinent feedback.

Presents prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information to a sales manager for approval / further action.

o Understands the current market and works to put together winning, profitable proposals.

Maintains cost database by entering and backing up data.

Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

o Collaborates with the Sales and Marketing team to pursue and earn projects bid.

o Effectively communicate job and customer details to other team members, including front office and Installation to facilitate success.

Demonstrates continuous education to keep up with changing needs.

Self-generates leads through effective promotion of company products and services to potential customers through a variety of means including, but not limited to home shows, B2B (business to business) networking, cold-calling, etc.

Helps with the organization of any events within the Company.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
