GeoSurfaces Southeast is seeking a competitive and resourceful Construction Estimator looking to work with a rapidly growing but well-established industry leader. This position is responsible for reviewing construction documents to perform accurate takeoffs and pricing for all bidding opportunities in addition to the creation of submittal drawings. Responsibilities

• Develop complete understanding of company construction process and methods of construction.
• Ensure estimates conform to proper scope of work specifications and drawings.
• Use AutoCAD to develop take-off and submittal drawings used to determine material quantities and final project completion options for potential clients.
• Detailed review of bid requirements to facilitate requests for information to responsible design/engineering professionals.
• Pricing of material quantities, in-house and subcontractor labor, equipment rentals, design & permitting fees, freight, and other miscellaneous costs.
• Prepare and issue packages for subcontractor pricing.
• Reviewing subcontractor and material supply quotes for scope compliance and cost comparisons.
• Handoff estimates to proposal manager for bid/pricing submissions
• Assist Project Managers with handoff of contracted projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• Four-year degree in construction management, project management, civil engineering, or related fields of study from an accredited college/university or an equivalent amount of experience and education
• Minimum 5 years' experience with AutoCAD software products
• 2-5 years' experience in construction estimating is preferred including: fencing, stone, cement, drainage pipe, aggregates, geotextiles, etc.
• Great written and verbal communication skills
• Customer service orientation.
