Ethics and Mission Integration Director incorporates the organization's mission, values, and philosophies into the operations, policies, and goals of the organization. Directs and develops education and training programs for employees and the community that communicate and reinforce the organization's value driven mission. Being an Ethics and Mission Integration Director reviews patient care outcomes and issues to ensure alignment with the organization's mission and ethics. Advises leaders with strategic planning and decision-making to ensure ethics and values are considered. Additionally, Ethics and Mission Integration Director typically requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Ethics and Mission Integration Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Job Description:
    Oversee the operational engine of Discover's Ethics & Conduct (E&C) program. Oversee the comprehensive analysis of E&C outcomes from regulatory changes, examinations, audits, testing results, and other reviews. Identify critical findings, emerging trends, and systemic vulnerabilities related to program effectiveness. Translate these insights into actionable recommendations for program enhancements, lessons learned, a monitoring plan, control modifications, and risk mitigation strategies. Lead cross-functional efforts to implement corrective actions and address identified deficiencies, demonstrating measurable improvement.

    Responsibilities:
    Ensuring program alignment with risk appetite, business objectives, and regulatory landscape.

    Collaborate with peers to translate regulatory changes, exam, audit and testing results, issues, and reviews, into actionable insights that optimize program effectiveness.

    Establish a robust framework for capturing and disseminating lessons learned from internal and external E&C reviews. Track and measure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and demonstrating their impact on program outcomes.

    Drive alignment between the E&C program, the company's risk taxonomy, and risk assessment framework. Partner with risk management teams to develop and implement comprehensive E&C risk mitigation strategies across the organization.

    Lead the design and execution of the E&C Monitoring Plan, leveraging data analytics, internal reviews, and industry benchmarks to assess program effectiveness and identify potential issues.

    Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership, legal, compliance, HR, and business units to ensure cross-functional alignment and support.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelors in Business Administration and Management

    12 years of experience in program governance, risk management, compliance in financial services.

    5 years people management experience

    In lieu of education, 15 years in program governance, risk management, compliance in financial services.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Masters in Business Administration and Management

    Compensation: The base pay for this position generally ranges between $173,000.00 to $263,400.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
