    Purpose/Mission/Vision

    Gateway Mission is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit ecclesiastical ministry operating under the
    direction of a volunteer Board of Directors elected from a broad cross-section of Christians in
    the community. Our mission is to declare and demonstrate the love of Jesus by providing
    housing and programs for the homeless and less fortunate. Our vision is to equip each
    person we serve to follow Jesus and live as a productive citizen. Gateway Mission considers

    Position Summary

    The Campus Director role is to lead the Men’s ministry team to provide excellent hospitality
    to our guests with a forward focus and opportunity for change through a hope in Christ

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Oversee and administer all programming for men including Open Door, Pathway and
    Gateway Programs. This includes general supervision of all guests residing within the
    building.
    • Oversee the Residential Ministries Manager, Residential Supervisors and Community
    Life Advisors assigned to Men’s ministry team.
    • Oversee all program entry and exit processes.
    • Administer appropriate corrective guidance and covenants with guests/students as
    needed to keep them forward focused.
    • Meet regularly with the team to ensure guests/students are achieving personal and
    program goals.
    • Ensure guests are properly oriented to the facilities and programming options at

    Gateway Mission (GM).


    • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with other ministries,
    churches, and social service providers in the Holland area, representing GM at cross-
    agency meetings as needed.
    • Oversee new team members selection and onboarding, including all appropriate
    training.
    • Oversee the Facilities Manager to ensure all areas of the GMC building are maintained
    to a high level of cleanliness and order.
    • Oversee the guests/student’s money management program.
    • Conduct annual performance evaluations for each team member in addition to
    setting both department and personal development objectives for the year.
    • Work with other Program Leadership team members to provide a coordinated and
    unified approach to helping guests/students overcome invisible poverty.
    • Review department budget reports and monitor operations to stay within budget.
    • Ensure that accurate records (both electronic and written) and metrics are

    maintained in a timely manner.

    Personal Qualifications

    • Practicing believer in the Lord Jesus Christ
    • Be an active member of a local evangelical church community
    • Desire to meet the physical needs and spiritual needs by sharing the good news of

    the Gospel

    Education/Experience

    • Minimum high school graduate; college degree and/or formal Bible training strongly
    preferred
    • Minimum 3-5 years’ ministry experience required
    • Experience/knowledge of helping individuals who struggle with addiction issues and
    their need for accountability
    • Experience/knowledge of homelessness culture preferred
    • Experience/knowledge of what God is doing through the ministry of Rescue Missions

    preferred

    Skills and Abilities

    • Strong organizational skills, with ability to manage staff and programming while
    effectively managing departmental budgets and controls.
    • Ability to administer programs, policies, and procedures.
    • Strong communication skills – written, verbal and electronic communication.
    • Strong leadership skills to effectively lead and train staff to achieve departmental

    goals, while exhibiting servant leadership


    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with guests,
    volunteers, staff, and the public
    • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, Teams, data entry)

    • Stand, sit, walk, climb stairs regularly; lift, bend, crouch occasionally to perform job
    functions
    • Manipulate, handle, feel, and control items or equipment
    • Read, write, and interpret written documents
    • Lift and move objects weighing up to 35 pounds regularly; up to 50 pounds
