Mission Assistant
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Assist staff with supervision of the drop in center, administrative responsibilities, community resource management, and other operations within the Behavioral Health and Employment and Career Services departments.

- Responsible for providing exceptional customer service delivery to all individuals in a welcoming, hopeful and trauma informed manner.
- Welcome and assist all individuals who access the drop in center and services with resource acquisition needs and make appropriate referrals.
- Collect and organize community resource information.
- Organize and/or facilitate groups at the drop in center.
- Provide on-site back up support to Employment Specialists and Community Support workers as needed.
- Ensure that accurate data is entered into the department’s data management systems (currently Credible, Therap, and CDS).
- Assist with department specific quality assurance and quality improvement activities.
- Prepare data and reports for the Behavioral Health and Employment and Career Services departments as assigned.
- Assist with clerical duties for the Behavioral Health and Employment and Career Services departments as designated.
- Responsible for phone trafficking, monitoring fax machine and distribution of faxes.
- Organize facility maintenance, complete safety checklists, and order supplies, as needed.
- Meet attendance and appearance requirements per Goodwill policy.

Qualifications
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School education with two years’ experience in human services or employment field required, preferably with individuals with disabilities.
- Must be able to obtain the Nebraska DHHS Peer Support Specialist Certification within six (6) months of hire and maintain the certification.
- Personal experience with recovery and willing to share their recovery experience with others.
- Must possess strong computer skills with Windows operating system and experience with Microsoft Office programs.
- Knowledge and operation of a variety of office machines.
- Must possess strong detail and organizational skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to communicate in spoken conversation, adequate volume speech, and have normal hearing for conversation, telephone use, and emergency information systems.
- Ability to be independently mobile on all surfaces and situations; to move safely about the work area.
- Physical stamina to work at least 8 hours per day.
