Ethics and Mission Integration Director incorporates the organization's mission, values, and philosophies into the operations, policies, and goals of the organization. Director of Integration Services

  • We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to lead our Integration Services Center by engaging with external stakeholders to support our mission of providing community-based services, education, and residential treatment to positively impact lives, in partnership with youth and families who have experienced trauma. 

    The Director will oversee all aspects of the Integration Department, including 1) key stakeholder engagement and ongoing relationships, 2) service referral and intake processes and management, 3) performance optimization for the 24/7 call center and 4) staff management and daily operations. 

    Essential Job functions

    • Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that Hillside is providing solutions that meet community need; maintain high standards of customer service and satisfaction, and build and maintain positive community relations and brand recognition.
    • Direct and facilitate referrals, admissions, transfers and length-of-stay authorizations, ensuring optimal utilization of and timely reimbursement for Hillside services, in collaboration with agency leadership.
    • Collaborate with Programs and Support Departments to ensure seamless coordination and communication across all aspects of service delivery.
    • Lead and manage the 24/7 operations of the agency call center, ensuring continuous coverage and responsiveness to needs of community. 
    • Hire, train, coach, and mentor Integration staff, providing guidance and support to foster a positive and high-performing team environment.
    • Develop and implement Integration policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistent and efficient service delivery around the clock.
    • Ensure Integration Team Members have the knowledge to implement Hillside’s Emergency Management protocol when appropriate in crisis situations.
    • Develop and implement budgets, infrastructure, as well as staffing schedules and rotations to ensure adequate coverage during all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
    • Communicate support and link Hillside mission, vision, values, goals, and strategies to everyday work and establish clear, meaningful, challenging, and attainable objectives and expectations that are aligned with those of the organization
    • Align the right work with the right people; delegate tasks according to people’s strengths and interests. Ensure staff has the skills and resources to be successful. Provide staff with coaching, training and opportunities for growth to improve their skills. Treat staff fairly and consistently. Share accountability when delegating and involve staff in setting their performance goals.
    • Ensure Hillside policies, procedures and all applicable governmental laws/regulations/guidelines are followed. Make decisions and have the authority to implement decisions in conjunction with the leadership structure of the given area of responsibility.

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelors’ Degree in Mental Health, Human Services, Public Health, or related field
    • 10 years of experience in mental health, human services, Public Health or related field 
    • 3 years in leadership or operational management

    Special Requirements:

    • Unrestricted, valid NYS driver’s license for minimum of 1 year with a clean driving record and minimum insurance coverage that meets agency standards.

    • Demonstrate knowledge of the NYS child-serving agencies and Medicaid Managed Care.
    • Skills in customer service, and consultative role to work collaboratively with internal and external customers to ensure high quality service provision to youth, adults, and families.
    • Strong change management experience within a rapidly changing service and funding environment.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of services provided both by Hillside and our external service providers, along with ability to establish and maintain strong professional relationships with contacts in order to efficiently access care for children, youth, and families.

    • Must be able to work a variable scheduling including evenings and weekends.
    • The following physical demands are required:
      • Occasional sitting (up to 4 hours)
      • Occasional standing (up to 1 hour)
      • Occasional walking (up to 2.5 hours)
      • Occasional driving (up to 4 hours)
      • Continuous balancing (up to 8 hours)
      • Occasional balancing, bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching forward or down, reaching overhead, running, and twisting (up to 2.5 hours)
      • Weekly lifting up to 50 lbs. (community-based staff may be required to lift an empty wheelchair weighing up to 50 lbs.), 10-15 lbs. on a daily basis
      • Weekly carrying up to 55 lbs. approximately 10-100 ft., 10-15 lbs. on a daily basis
    • Manual dexterity is required, including the frequent ability to grasp in both hands and continuous use of fine manipulation skills in both hands (approximately 1-2.5 hrs.)
    • Occasional exposure to dust, fumes, gases or chemicals is apparent. 

    Ability to change positions as needed.

    $77,100 Minimum Rate, $120,800 Maximum Rate, based on experience.
