Overview

Medical Lake Veterinary Hospital in Medical Lake, Washington is hiring a Medical Director to lead our 4-doctor practice!

The Medical Director (MD) position provides strategic direction, coaching, and mentoring to the Associate Veterinarians to ensure safe, consistent, efficient, therapeutic, and ethical patient care and outstanding client service. They will collaborate with the Practice Manager to develop a hospital annual operating plan. They will own responsibility for ensuring Clinic Revenue Targets are achieved and minimum Standards of Care are developed and complied with. The MD understands they will wear many hats and will be passionate about clinical excellence, leadership, recruiting, retention and advocating for the growth of Mission Veterinary Partners (MVP).

About Our Hospital: Medical Lake Veterinary Hospital is a full-service companion animal hospital, offering the best in medical and surgical care. Our practice treats some farm animals and equine. However, the large animal and/or exotic caseload has room to grow for any interested candidate.

Our practice is located on 19 acres and is a beautiful new facility, fully equipped to treat small and large animals. To support this, we have an in-house lab, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, portable ultrasound, cold laser therapy, a surgery suite with two surgical tables, and pharmacy. We use eVET for our electronic medical records, which can be accessed from home.  We provide many surgical services, such as routine surgeries, advanced soft-tissue procedures, and emergency surgeries.

About Medical Lake, WA: We are located just 15 minutes west of Spokane, Washington, which offer endless outdoor activities including hiking and skiing Mount Spokane, visiting the flower gardens at Manito Park, viewing Spokane Falls while exploring Downtown, and biking or horseback riding down Centennial Trail. Eastern Washington offers a drier climate and much less populated region than Western Washington. 

Ideal qualifications:

• Proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, DVMs, and teammates to build a results-driven, team-oriented environment.
• 3 years’ DVM experience
• 1 years Leadership experience desired but not required
• Washington State Veterinary license - active and in good standing
