Ethics and Mission Integration Director incorporates the organization's mission, values, and philosophies into the operations, policies, and goals of the organization. Directs and develops education and training programs for employees and the community that communicate and reinforce the organization's value driven mission. Being an Ethics and Mission Integration Director reviews patient care outcomes and issues to ensure alignment with the organization's mission and ethics. Advises leaders with strategic planning and decision-making to ensure ethics and values are considered. Additionally, Ethics and Mission Integration Director typically requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Ethics and Mission Integration Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Responsibilities:
- The Mission Integration Coordinator Collaborates with the department leadership to enable Mission Integration activates across the region as well as develop spiritual enrichment activates/resources for team members and physicians.
- Assesses, develops, designs, implements, and leads educational program, activities, tools within the health system and in the community to maintain and improve, advance and align ST. Joseph's Hospitals Catholic identity, Franciscan heritage including the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany charism and legacy, spirituality; ethics and ethics related issues; team member support.
- Understanding and knowledge of Catholic theology, Catholic Church practices, and Ethical and Religious Directives of Catholic Health Care (ERDs), as promulgated by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB).
- Manages the operations of the Food Clinic.
- Manages grants processes to support mission integration projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Theology related or Bachelors in related field.
- Preferred Master's Degree in Theology related
