The Kitsap Rescue Mission (KRM) is a non-denominational Christian organization whose mission is to share the love of Christ by building a community on the Kitsap Peninsula that cares for those experiencing homelessness.

1. Financial Responsibilities: Manage QuickBooks to enter, calculate, post, and process accounts payable; reconcile bank statements; disburse checks; align expenditures within grant budgets and requirements; make journal entries; assist the Business Operations Director with budget preparation and tracking; gather timesheets and monitor the processing of payroll and payroll related employee inquiries, and track and disburse monthly, quarterly, and annual tax bills.
Provide assistance, information and backup documentation for the KRM Annual Audit working collaboratively with the Business Operations Director and contracted auditor.
2. Vendor and Grant Responsibilities: Track and file vendor and grant invoicing and billing reimbursement, backup documentation and reports, prepare and submit financial reporting for grants, communicate with funders, prepare and submit clear and concise reports when requested by the Business Operations Director and/or Executive Director, assist with financial information and data for grant applications, provide assistance to and backup documentation for Kitsap County and other onsite compliance audits.
3. Records Responsibilities: Maintain accurate electronic filing systems including confidential staff and organization information, maintain and update insurance information in collaboration with the Business Operations Director, maintain and keep copies of organizational documents.
Maintain KRM personnel files ensuring they meet Washington State employment standards.
4. Office Responsibilities: Process mail and donations and perform general clerical duties associated with essential duties.
5. Other - Participate in KRM all-staff meetings and provide information and education regarding financial and payroll compliance.
6. Provide HR support to Executive Director
7. Attend community and funder meetings when requested.
8. Attend required trainings and conferences, some of which may be out of town.
9. Practice exceptional organization skills and attention to detail.
10. Be dependable, honest, and ethical.
11. Other duties as assigned.
12. Other: Understand and follow KRM policies and procedures and assist in developing internal resources for the organization as they pertain to bookkeeping and financial procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
•Demonstrated proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel computer software programs
•High School Diploma/GED
•Understanding of accounting, general ledger, financial reporting, and contract billing reimbursement
•Demonstrated ability to understand and maintain confidentiality. This includes employees, guests and records
•Demonstrated ability to input and maintain computerized financial information
•Successfully pass criminal history background check
•Complete new staff training within six-month period and 90-days of probationary employment
•Must have valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and dependable transportation
•Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
