Job Description Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time. We are looking for a Product Line Engineering Lead for our C4ISR Systems Mission Systems Product Line. The Mission Systems team has more than 35 years supporting the defense community with end to end mission systems capabilities that unleash the power of sensors and weapons. As a leader in Mission Systems, you'll be helping to deliver mission applications including autonomy solutions for mission and flight planning systems, battle management with precision targeting and command and control operations, information management and data analytics, and ground support solutions. The Mission Systems Product Line Engineering Lead (PLEL) is the Engineering Authority focusing on program execution, new business growth, product leverage, talent development, and continuous improvement. The PLEL acts as an engineering partner to the Product Line Director. The PLEL helps define technical strategies for competitive bids, customer engagement, and business models. The PLEL reports to the C4ISR Business Area Engineering Director. The PLEL provides engineering leadership for the assigned product line during all lifecycle phases (conception, design, development, production, and support). The PLEL ensures that all aspects of the solution design and development, including the application of core engineering processes, Design Reviews and Technical Bid Reviews are appropriately tailored, deployed, and effectively performed within the product line. The primary responsibilities of this role include:
* Partner with and support the Product Line Director and staff to develop and deliver products and systems that meet our customer needs
* Partner and collaborate across with all the functions and business areas to effectively support engineering across the enterprise
* Support the Project Engineering Managers (PEMs) in meeting cost, schedule and technical performance for projects through their life cycle
* Identify and support the development of critical skills and employees
* Develop and maintain measures related to engineering performance
* Support continuous improvement activities and ensure adoption within the organization
* Recruit, train, develop and retain Project Engineering Managers (PEMs) to meet business needs
Pay Information:
Salary Range: $159,300 - $270,800 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. * Bachelor's degree and Minimum 15 years of technical leadership experience and mission/domain knowledge of emerging C4ISR systems and capabilities relevant to the business
* Ability to form a vision and implement action plans to achieve that vision
