Executive Chef Assistant - Casino assists the executive chef in the operations of the hotel kitchen. Involved in menu development and cooking to ensure meal quality and customer satisfaction. Being an Executive Chef Assistant - Casino may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to an Executive Chef. The Executive Chef Assistant - Casino supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. General: Must be age 21 or older. Must qualify for Tribal Non-Gaming License.
Education: High School diploma or GED preferred but not required. Degree from a post-secondary culinary arts training program is desirable. Must be able to communicate in the primary language used in the workplace.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years in food preparation and demonstrated supervisory skills.
Physical: Must be able to stand and exert well paced mobility for periods up to four (4) hours in length. Must have the ability to lift pots, pans, and other items up to 50 pounds in weight. Requires normal vision, including color acuity and depth perception, reaching, bending, stooping, grasping, finger dexterity, and hand/eye coordination. Must be able to perform safely and effectively in conditions of wet floors and temperature extremes.
