A maitre'd / Assistant manager would be responsible for overseeing the dining room staff, managing reservations, greeting guests, and ensuring a smooth dining experience.
They must have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
Additionally, a maitre'd should have a strong knowledge of food and wine pairings, as well as experience in customer service. They may also be responsible for training new staff members and handling customer complaints.
Skills:
- Experience in hospitality or food service industry preferred
- Proficiency in POS systems, specifically Toast POS, is a plus
- Strong guest relations skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced restaurant environment
