Executive Compensation Manager is responsible for the analysis and administration of executive compensation programs, annual and long-term incentive programs, and deferred compensation plans. Provide consultation on executive compensation matters to senior executives and human resources. Being an Executive Compensation Manager oversees the preparation of compensation data for proxy disclosure and compensation committee meetings. Assists executive directly or engages/manages outside consultants with tax matters related to compensation. Additionally, Executive Compensation Manager directs the salary survey process and evaluates market data for executive positions. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. May require Certified Compensation Professional. The Executive Compensation Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Our client is a family owned manufacturing organization located in the Springfield, Missouri metropolitan area and is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee a small accounting and finance team. He or she will report to the Controller, holding responsibility for managing day to day operational accounting, general ledger, accruals, reconciliation, month-end close and all related reporting. He or she will support the cost accounting function and provide financial statement reporting.

    The Accounting Manager will assist the Controller and have future career growth opportunities, he or she will help design and implement standard best practices and efficiencies within the system, ensuring ongoing compliance and providing continual improvements.

    Responsibilities

    • Execute daily operational accounting, cash flow and cash management, providing oversight to A/P, A/R and payroll and supporting the accountant responsible for cost accounting
    • Manage cash flow and track transactions, review internal reports and prepare timely reports
    • Assist with month-end close, consolidations and financial statement preparation and analysis
    • Take ownership over daily maintenance of the organization's financial system, ensuring maximum productivity and overseeing continuous improvement and team development
    • Partner with Controller in preparation of quarterly financial and variance reporting
    • Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal policies, designing and implementing efficient and cost-effective standard practices, accounting policies and financial controls
    • Coordinate and support the tax return processes
    • Support ERP system maintenance and any future upgrades.
    • Perform ad Hoc reporting and analysis as needed, in support of business decisions

    Qualifications / Requirements 

    • Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting or Finance - CPA or CMA a plus
    • 5-15 years of accounting experience
    • Background in day to day accounting, and cost accounting or costing systems is preferred
    • Solid ERP / system experience
    • Ability to work in office daily with a small team
    • Be a problem solver as new issues arise
    • Must be self-motivated
    • Detail oriented
