Responsible for overseeing and training housekeeping staff. Being an Executive Housekeeper manages housekeeping supplies and equipment. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Executive Housekeeper typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Executive Housekeeper has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. POSITION SUMMARY:
Directs Housekeeping and Laundry department within the standards set forth by Historic Hotel Bethlehem. The Executive Housekeeper is responsible but not limited to the following: Supervises housekeeping and laundry employees, plans and assigns work assignments, gives training for newly recruited employees, audits and inspects housekeeping personnel work assignments and requisitions supplies. The position is also responsible for the quality of service, guest satisfaction along with the cleanliness of guest rooms and public space.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must have the physical capability to lift, push or pull at least 30-50 pounds. Also, applicants must have the ability to use abdominal and back muscles and be able to stand for the duration of the shift. Must also have the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists, and to reach and stretch, bend, kneel and squat.
There will be a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and a nationwide criminal background check. Previous employment will be verified and references will be thoroughly checked.
