Position Summary:
Cleans guest rooms in the resort to meet total customer satisfaction and established standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Clean all assigned area (rooms, bathrooms, and kitchens) according to established housekeeping standards and procedures.
- Vacuums, sweeps, and mops floors in rooms the proper way.
- Cleans upholstered furniture, carpets and draperies when needed.
- Dusts furniture. Washes walls, ceiling, baseboards, and woodwork. Washes windows, door panels and sills.
- Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays.
- Replenishes all guest room supplies to the established pars.
- Sorts, counts, folds, mark, and/or carry linens to make beds.
- Assist in laundry if needed.
- Report any maintenance requirements immediately to the inspector of your assigned section.
- Turn in all Lost and Found articles to the lost and found room with proper information indicated on packaging.
- Renders personal assistance to patrons.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Attend scheduled training seminars and department meetings.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken.
- Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company associates and purveyors to promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of the position.
- Maintains a professional standard at Glade Springs to include but not limited to: appearance, verbal discussions, written correspondence and interactions with members, associates and guests. Does not discuss confidential items with fellow associates or work-related issues with members or guests.
- Other tasks as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Education and Experience:
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Prior experience or training in cleaning is required.
- Willingness to work and be a part of a team is essential.
- Able to work varied schedule, including weekends and holidays.
