A professional couple is looking for a long-term, full-time, live-in or live-out, executive housekeeper. The live-in option can be living-in 100% or just during the work week. The live-in accommodation will be either the guest house or an off-site apartment nearby (the client is still deciding on this). The role starts as soon as possible and relocation is not being offered.
The family includes the mother, father, a college-age child, and a pre-teen -aged child. They have 2-medium sized dogs. Other staff includes a laundress/housekeeper. This person must have several years of experience as an executive housekeeper in a high-net worth home. This role will be responsible for the deep cleaning of the home and guest house. The main house is 10,000 sq ft, 5-bedrooms, 6-bathrooms, and there is a basement with a wine room. The guest house has 3-bedrooms, 2-bathrooms, a living room and kitchen on the second floor, and 1 staff suite downstairs.
This role requires care in cleaning of delicate items, polishing silver, steaming rugs/carpets, and other specialty care. To be successful in this role, you must have extreme attention to detail and be very organized and attentive, particularly to put everything back where it was. The executive housekeeper must also have experience with formal table service for dinner parties. This person will also possibly run errands- errands may include driving into NYC. The executive housekeeper must be polished, professional, and personable.
Hours will ideally be Tuesday through Saturday, 10am-6pm, with flexibility to stay late for dinner parties, as needed. The family is offering medical, PTO, paid sick/personal days, main federal holidays paid, and a discretionary yearly bonus. The executive housekeeper must have their U.S. Birth Certificate, valid U.S. Passport, or a valid Permanent Resident Card (Green Card). This person must drive and must have a car.
