Executive Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring that hotel rooms and facilities are kept in a clean and orderly condition in line with hotel policies and guest satisfaction. Responsible for overseeing and training housekeeping staff. Being an Executive Housekeeper manages housekeeping supplies and equipment. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Executive Housekeeper typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Executive Housekeeper has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. To be an Executive Housekeeper typically requires 3-5 years of related experience, or may have 2 years experience plus an associates degree, or additional training or certification. Here at the Historic Smithton Inn in Ephrata we’re looking for a Housekeeper to join our staff and help ensure our guest’s stay is as great as it could possibly be. You’ll be working in close contact with management to ensure each of our rooms is up to expectations and ready for our guest’s check-in!
This means sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and dusting surfaces to a high standard, cleaning bathrooms, as well as restocking any toiletries. You’ll be a whizz at making beds, fluffing pillows, and doing laundry in order to maintain the highest levels of comfort and cleanliness possible.
Working alone is a huge part of this job; however, you and management will be in regular contact to ensure every task is completed.
