Executive Housekeeper jobs in Portland, ME

We are seeking an individual with strong attention to detail and a passion for leading others. As an Executive Housekeeper, you will play a key role in creating lasting positive memories by ensuring a clean and sanitized hotel. You will be responsible for leading the Housekeeping, House Person and Laundry teams at the hotel, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and overall appearance of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Train teammates within assigned teams.
• Ensure cleanliness standards for guest rooms, public areas, and the Spa are consistently met
• Ensure work schedules and team performance reflect our productivity standards
• Perform or assist with cleaning & laundry duties as necessary
• Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and timely manner
• Inspect guest rooms, meeting areas, public areas, and Spa daily
• Forecast necessary levels of staffing and stock to facilitate effective scheduling and ordering
• Ensure the functions within your assigned departments are handled consistently, accurately and efficiently.
• Evaluate employee performance, and recommend personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, and dismissals
• Confer with staff to resolve performance and personnel problems and to discuss company policies
• Establish and implement operational standards and procedures for the department
• Recommend changes that could improve service and increase operational efficiency
• Maintain required records of work hours, budgets, payrolls, and other information
