Essential Responsibilities

• Learns and understands Holiday Inn Express cleanliness standards for guestrooms, laundry, and public areas. Paid training is provided, and previous housekeeping experience (while helpful) isn't required.
• Builds and maintains a positive, cooperative team culture by hiring and training team members in all aspects of their responsibilities so as to exceed guest cleanliness expectations.
• Partners with Assistant Executive Housekeepers to provide for daily inspections of all areas to ensure that team performance exceeds guest expectations for every stay.
• Plans work schedules and room assignments for minimum guest disruption.
• Manages deep cleaning, and mattress rotation schedules.
• Ensures the safety of hotel guests and team members by learning, teaching and implementing safe cleaning chemical handling procedures and continually reviewing team adherence to safe workplace best practices.
• Orders cleaning supplies, linens, and guest room supplies, and ensures housekeeping teams understand and apply proper inventory control procedures.

• Background in the hospitality industry preferred but not required
• Ability and willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as well as talk and hear. The employee must be able to move up to 75 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must be able to see differences in widths and lengths of lines, such as those on graphs.
