Responsible for overseeing and training housekeeping staff. Being an Executive Housekeeper manages housekeeping supplies and equipment. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Executive Housekeeper typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Executive Housekeeper has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. To be an Executive Housekeeper typically requires 3-5 years of related experience, or may have 2 years experience plus an associates degree, or additional training or certification. Responsibilities: - Clean and maintain assigned areas, including hotel rooms, common areas, and public spaces - Perform general housekeeping duties such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces - Change linens and make beds in accordance with hotel standards - Replenish supplies and amenities in guest rooms and public areas - Empty trash and dispose of waste properly - Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel - Follow all company policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and safety Experience: - Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work preferred - Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment is a plus - Familiarity with industrial cleaning standards is beneficial - Experience in the hospitality industry is a bonus - Ability to work independently and efficiently Skills: - Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks - Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient completion of duties - Good communication skills to interact with guests and team members - Ability to follow instructions and adhere to established cleaning protocols - Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift/move heavy objects if required Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
