Centered around a 10' wood-fired hearth, Restaurant 1796 prides itself on fresh Southern ingredients finished to perfection over an open fire. In a reverent nod to the history of the property, most of the dishes have either passed through or somehow been touched by the hearth. Guests are encouraged to choose individual main proteins and then fill the table with small plates and shareables handcrafted from local, market fresh produce.
We are seeking a talented and experienced Pastry Chef to join our culinary team on either a part-time or full-time basis. The Pastry Chef will be responsible for creating and executing our dessert menu, as well as overseeing all aspects of pastry production in our kitchen. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in fine dining establishments and a passion for creating innovative and visually stunning desserts.
